MIDDLE RIVER, MD – The Maryland attorney general’s office has identified the Baltimore County police officer and the 21-year-old woman who died after a shooting last week in Middle River.
The woman was Sadie Holman of Odenton. The officer was identified as Cpl. James Haddix, who has eight years of service with the Baltimore County Police Department.
Police said officers responded to the 1000 block of Carroll Island Road on Sept. 3 after a call about an armed subject wanted in connection with an assault.
According to police, Holman was in a vehicle when officers found her. The encounter ended with a shooting, and Holman later died at a hospital.
Police say the call involved an armed assault suspect
