SPOKANE, WASHINGTON – A Washington father charged with killing his daughter’s 19-year-old boyfriend is drawing renewed attention online as his story spreads again on social media. Spokane police arrested John Eisenman, then 60, on a first-degree murder charge in 2021. Police said he believed the young man had sold his juvenile daughter to a sex-trafficking organization in the Seattle area.

Father Learned Daughter Was Allegedly Sold to Seattle-Area Trafficking Ring

According to Spokane police, Eisenman learned in October 2020 that his underage daughter had allegedly been sold to a sex-trafficking organization near Seattle. He obtained information suggesting her boyfriend may have been responsible. The daughter’s name has not been released because she is a minor.

Police said Eisenman was able to rescue his daughter and bring her back to the Spokane area that same month. The viral post claims she was sold for $1,000, a detail not included in police statements.

Boyfriend Abducted in Airway Heights in November 2020, Police Say

In November 2020, Eisenman learned the boyfriend would be at a location in Airway Heights, a city west of Spokane. Police said he waited for the young man and confronted him when he arrived. The encounter quickly turned violent.

Investigators say Eisenman tied up the 19-year-old and placed him in the trunk of a vehicle. He then allegedly struck him in the head with a cinder block and stabbed him repeatedly, causing his death.

Body Found in Abandoned Car Nearly a Year Later

Police believe Eisenman drove the vehicle to a remote part of Spokane County and left it there with the body inside. The location remained undisturbed for months. The car was not discovered until October 2021, almost a year after the killing.

Officers found the young man’s body in the trunk, launching what police described as a complex investigation. Detectives later identified Eisenman as a suspect. The victim’s name was not released in initial police statements.

Eisenman Held on $1 Million Bond With No Prior Violent History

Eisenman was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Spokane County Jail on a first-degree murder charge. Jail records showed he was held on a $1 million bond.

Police noted he had no recent criminal history and no history of violence before the case. The trafficking claims against the boyfriend were never tested in court, and the current status of Eisenman’s case was not included in the viral post. Many online have defended his actions, while others stress the killing remains a serious crime.
