Seven Children Placed in State Care as Questions Grow

All seven children, ranging in age from 1 to 17, have been placed in the care of Kentucky social services. Their identities are being protected because of their ages and the nature of the case. Social workers will oversee their placement and care going forward.

Many are now asking how long the children lived in those conditions and whether anyone raised concerns before police stepped in. All eight defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details may be released in court.
